The Board Master Screenwriting Class

The Master Class provides an opportunity for you to work closely with Master Cats — personally trained by Blake Snyder — to transform your Beat Sheet into the detailed, 40-scene roadmap which will guide you through your script. 

Application for this class is approved through submission of your Beat Sheet. In some cases, we may suggest that you take another Beat Sheet workshop before moving on. The class is limited to six writers.

Day One

• Starting with the 15 beats of the BS2, you and the group “flesh out” the beginnings of the 40 scene cards that will be your final outline.
• Lock down the characters, conflict, and location of each scene card.
• Review each of the 40 beats for change in tone and conflict.

Day Two

• Using “The Board,” put your scenes into action and prove why the four-act structure provides a foolproof method of structure success.
• Revise and retool based on class feedback before your final pitch.
• Pitch the class with the 40 scenes of your movie with final assessment from class leaders and participants.
