On the Picket Line

News — 9:04 am on November 23, 2007

On Friday, November 9, 2007 I was in attendance as the largest ever gathering of WGA writers stopped traffic in Century City, directly in front of the Fox Plaza building. This is my second WGA strike — my first was in 1988 — and just like last time, we hope the current dispute is resolved soon. On hand that day were Jesse Jackson and WGA President Patric M. Verrone, who said: “They said that getting writers together would be like herding cats. We showed up as lions and tigers and we are here to roar.”

In the herd, ready to roar.

How’s this for snappy writing! See?! We’re never REALLY on strike.

Here I am with Ben Frahm, Cat! veteran, and now veteran WGA member

Is Ben Frahm the writer who sold “Dr. Sensitive”? Great script…hope this strike is over soon so creative young writers like Ben can put the knife back to the grindstone.
